The Wind Tracker wind speed and wind direction indicator offers big performance in a compact display.Wind speed is displayed in your choice of units: KNOTS, MPH, KM/H, M/S. Maximum wind speed is also shown. Wind direction information is clearly displayed on a circular compass pattern of LEDs. Multicolored segments give a quick visual indication of current direction and variability. Front panel brightness control allows adjustment for best viewing in any light. A variety of inputs and outputs including 4-20 mA, Serial (RS-485), and Voltage are standard on the Wind Tracker. Alarms for both wind speed and wind direction are standard. The included dual power supply is compatible with 110 VAC or 230 VAC supply voltages.  The Wind Tracker is very compact for easy mounting on vertical bulkheads or wall surfaces.

The Wind Monitor MA is an accurate and reliable wind sensor specifically designed for the rigors of the marine environment. The wind speed sensor is a four blade helicoid propeller. Unique transducer produces a pulse signal without electrical contacts or slip rings. The wind direction sensor is a durable molded vane. Vane angle is sensed by a precision potentiometer housed in a sealed chamber. All materials are carefully selected for corrosion resistance and maximum durability in the harsh marine environment. Ceramic bearings are used throughout. The instrument mounts on standard 1 inch pipe. Separate signal conditioning circuits are available to provide voltage or current signals when needed (see below). Each is supplied in a weatherproof junction box with mounting hardware.

The model PT500 autopilot, which has superior operability and functionality, is suitable for a wide range of applications, from large tankers to small freighters and high speed boats. It is available in two versions, model PT500A and model PT500D, which differ in respect of the method of automatic steering. You can freely select a suitable model and configure the optimum system for the type of vessel concerned.

Follow-up and non follow-up steering systems are completely independent. Consequently, an abnormality in one system has no effect on the other system. Also, the control systems of the automatic and manual steering units are independent of each other.

The course setter has a dial (25 degrees/rotation), and the set course indicator uses a readily visible red LED. The function keys use easy to understand pictorial characters in order to minimize the possibility of operator error.

A separate DIN standard unit is used for each function, facilitating excellent functional expandability and operability. The automatic steering unit, steering repeater compass and other units are of compact design and occupy a volume of about 80% of that of previous units. They can thus be easily incorporated in a console or used to build up a system.

In line with the revised Voyage Data Recorder (VDR) performance standards which came into force on 1 July 2014, JRC welcomes or as we say in Japan, yōkoso, to our fourth generation VDR model, the JCY-1900. Having been involved in VDR development from the very beginning in 2001, this latest revision in the performance standards has allowed JRC to re-think, develop and design its latest model with the standard attention to detail for performance, reliability and long term competitive cost of ownership.

No new S-VDR regulation, yet a new model
While there is no new Simplified Voyage Data Recorder (S-VDR) requirement, there will also be the new JCY-1950 variant available with just one capsule, fixed or float free. JRC is a company founded on the principles of long term reliability and customer support and there are many ship owners sailing with older S-VDR makes and models that might no longer be supported. JRC views this as a duty to these owners to continue to offer an acceptable alternative solution.
